Osama FakronFor the past ten years, Osama Fakron have been working in field of materials characterization. Dr. Fakron is currently working as Mathematics Instructor at Virginia Tech, he is responsible for employing his Mathematical research skills in his Engineering. His primary research interest is in the area of 3D image reconstruction. Dr. Fakron has extensive experience with Material Characterization Techniques including Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Nanoindentation. His research is related to investigate and use decent Mathematical formulas to describe experiment details. Dr. Fakron earned his BSc and MSc in mechanical engineering from University of Benghazi (UOB) in 1998 and 2003 respectively. He worked as a lecturer at mechanical engineering department, UOB from 2003 to 2008. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, from the Washington State University in 2014. After his PhD, In January 2016 Fakron joined the Mathematics department in Washington State University to get his master’s degree in applied mathematics in May 2017. Dr. Fakron has been teaching in several colleges, Mathematics, Physics, and introductory Engineering courses also Dr. Fakron is also trying to develop his research based on his available resources to employ his Mathematical research skills in his Engineering research. Dr. Fakron is married to Hind Habag and has two children, Mohammed and Sofian. He likes camping and traveling.
